Mostly Birding
Brrrrr! The cold front has swept across Cuba. Winds in Havana are north at 15-18 MPH. These conditions should stop all migration. I may not even get up in the middle of the night to check the radar!
Current weather models indicate conditions adverse to migration through the middle of the next week.
At this time (c. 03:00 UTC) there are no radar detectable migrants outbound from Cuba. There a numerous showers/thunderstorms over the Cuban coast and Straits. Also, after several nights of good migration, the supply of migration ready birds might have been exhausted.
There were scattered showers and thunderstorms along the Cuban coast during the take-off time that may have reduced tonight’s flight. Even so, some birds were on the move. An image from c. 04:00 UTC shows birds approaching the Keys. This image will roll off he archive in four days.

There is a pretty good flight tonight (see above link of image from c. 02:00 UTC). Also several chaff trails running west to east, over and south of the Keys. As usual, the linked image will roll-off in four days.
Winds over Cuba have shifted back to northerly. There is no detectable migration tonight.
Just a few birds coming across tonight, but a few is better than none.
Finally some migration. A few birds headed out of Cuba tonight, where winds are easterly. At 05:00 UTC some birds have made it about half way across the Straits (see above linked image). This archived image will roll-off in four days.
