February 22, 2007One of the best ways to get a handle on potential spring migration from Cuba is to check the weather conditions in Havana in the first hours after sunset. Winds out of any direction between 90 and 270 degrees and no rain may be conducive to migration. Your results may vary, of course.
No Migration Apparent Yet
February 21, 2007There is no migration from Cuba at this time on the KBYX radar. Winds in Havana are conducive, WSW, but the radar shows nothing but several north/south streaks that are probably chaff trails from military jets. Chaff streaks are common over south Florida and the Florida Straits. A lot of military muscle flexing…
